The Repertoire of Newly Developing Regulatory T Cells in the Type 1 Diabetes–Prone NOD Mouse Is Very Diverse

Regulatory T lymphocytes expressing the forkhead/winged helix transcription factor Foxp3 (Treg) play a vital role in protection of organism from autoimmune disease and other immunopathologies. The antigen specificity Treg plays an important their vivo activity. We therefore assessed diversity T-cell receptors (TCRs) for expressed by newly developed thymus type 1 diabetes-prone NOD mice compared it to control mouse strain C57BL/6. Our results demonstrate that use TCRα TCRβ variable (V) joining (J) segments, length complementarity determining region (CDR) 3, chains are comparable between C57BL/6 mice. Genetic defects affecting TCR do not appear be involved etiology diabetes mouse.
